Sachem Alumni New Facebook Group
I have been totally amazed at the response to our Sachem Alumni 1959 - 1965 "Facebook Group." This group was originally set up to help with our Reunion in 2010; and hasn't been used much. Recently Facebook advised me that I was the only member, and the Group would be canceled if I quit.


Rather than loose the site, I advised our membership of its existence; we now have 120 members; wow!

Unlike our Blog, Alumni are able to talk directly to each other; the response has been wonderful! Direct conversation, without a time delay that you get with our Blog! I will keep the Blog active, but wouldn't it be wonderful if every member of our Alumni Group could participate in our "Facebook Group?" So far about one half of our group has joined our Facebook Group. I am hoping that the remaining members could join our group.


How do I do this?


First sign-up for a Facebook account. http://www.facebook.com/


Then request joining our group at. http://www.facebook.com/groups/58645312298/

Caution #1 Do not set-up Facebook on a Business Computer; you will get many notifications of activity on your email.

Caution #2 Anything posted to facebook can appear anywhere, and disappear without notice. Any announcement such as a Reunion Announcement is better placed on our Blog; at least it doesn't move. This fixed location can be linked multiple times in Facebook.
