Our fellow Alumnus, John Cassese, will be playing with most of the members from the original Lloyd Roberts Quintet, at the Pine Grove Inn, in East Patchohue, NY. One band member lives in Florida, and will not be available to play at this event.
This event will be featuring Joe Cherko Jr., a drummer who comes from a family with a musical history. His father also Joe Cherko, was entertaining at many Night Clubs throughout Long Island, in the late 50s and 60s. Different generation, but from the same root. His drum style should sound familiar!
The people that attended "Lloyd Roberts Quintet Reunion 2006," are being contacted! We do expect a fantastic crowd, filled with that perpetual energy, that we have cultivated!
Barring some unforeseen circumstances, my wife Marie and I will be attending. Any Alumni that attend will be welcome to sit with Marie and I; just ask John to point us out.

I am very excited about going on Saturday, Since I have no plans for the evening. I will be coming alone. Do I have to make reservations? Or is it a place where there are people just dropping in? I really wish I could attend the reunion of John's band this year but am also booked for that weekend. I hope to get out there again (from the Poconos) sometime again before November and hear the band in person. Sweet memories....
