Mini Sachem Alumni Reunion at Ormond Beach, FL



Don & Marylin Chion and Bill and Arlene Monteverde spent time together at Ormond Beach, FL. Bill & Don did some (catch and release) fishing. We ate at some great restaurants, played Mexican Dominoes and sipped Chocolate Martinis. We also got with Tom & Gerry (Farrell)McKibbin who moved to Ormond Beach a couple of years ago from LI. What a great time of year to be at the beach and relax. Cooler weather and no crowds!

Does anyone know where were these photos taken? The objects in the backgroud of the top photo are very interesting, they look like Swimming Platforms.


Hi,

This was our first Florida reunion. It was sponsored by Pat (Prince) Rath. What a
great weekend we had with all.

The objects on the beach are lounge chairs with umbrella's, the item to the left I
believe was a beach buggy used by Life Guards. It evidently was a cloudy day
in Florida because you can not see the beautiful Gulf of Mexico.

Picture #1 is Pat and her brother George Prince.
Picture #2 includes (forefront) Bill and Arlene(Owen) Monteverde, (right) Pat & Don Rath,
(back right) George Prince & his wife. I am sorry to say I do not remember the last
couple.

In the last photo under reunion of 2001, the mystery couple is Georgette LaPierre(class of '64)Chimene and husband, Paul. We were only able to attend the fist day of the reunion. We enjoyed the dinnerand dancing and seeing some familiar faces. Hello to all.

News From Way Back Home on Long Island



Sachem Alumnus John Vitale (Class of 1971)
My wife Marie, my sister in law Roseann, and Alumnus John Vitale enjoy the scene at the "Beach Hut" at Cupsogue Beach; Westhampton, NY.

The soft summer breeze, the ocean spray, and the huge "Mud Slides," help to make the summer season bright!

From the Deck of my favorite Restaurant, "Sunwater," on the East end of Dune Road, we could see the "Jet Set," again having a Great time at Oaklands Restaurant. I should really go to Oaklands some day and "Check out," the action!

CAUTION CONSTRUCTION!

The Jetty along the Shinnecock Canal was torn down and re-constructed, with a flat top. As you can see the people are able to fish from the top of this new structure.

Organic Farm on Sound Avenue

I think this is a beautiful scene, natural herbs, hung from the ceiling of a barn, to cure and dry. We now have a farm that grows Organic Food and herbs, on Sound Avenue. Sorry! I tore my office apart in order to find the name and address of this farm, to no avail. I will enter the name as soon as I find the card!
