  ok ,,three places...........Patchogue roller rink, Rialto movie theatre, Davis Park ferry. What memories do any of these three places conjur up?

    Cathy Dolan Vultaggio I saw my first Elvis movie there too. And it was his first movie ,Love me Tender . Roller rink , first date ,sorta ,with Dave McComb Jane's younger brother .We took a taxi to Patchogue ! Then after rollerskating we had a pizza .A whole one . I think I ate 1 slice.

    Dorothy Delaney My first date was at the Rialto theater, actually with a group of people - we all sat in the balcony and smoked.... the roller rink was a place I went to often when I was younger..I was never really good at roller skating on that smooth wood floor tho --

    Priscilla Kolb Pierce we went to see Peyton Place there; told our mothers were were going to see another movie (can't remember what) at the Lowe's theatre. Great movie with great friends even though the only that I can remember being with me is my sister, Joan; she drove!

  HI GANG!!!! AFTER READING ALL THE GREAT THINGS WE DID AS KIDS GROWING UP IN LONG ISLAND I OFTEN WONDER WHY WE LEFT!!!!!! SACHEM WAS LIKE ALL OF US BEING TOGETHER AND HAVING REAL FUN,NO DRUGS,NO GETTING DRUNK THERE WERE A FEW OF US WHO DID THAT BUT NOTHING LIKE TODAY. I AM VERY GLAD TO SEE WE ALL TURNED OUT OK AND HAVE LOVELY FAMILYS, NICE HOMES,AND STILL ALOT OF RESPECT FOR ONE ANOTHER,BRAVO!!!!! WE DID IT GANG !!!! Class of 1960 Trip to Jones Beach!

Is that Jerry Levay on the right? It seems to be labeled Pauline, but that doesn't look like Pauline! I guess I'm going blind! Ha Ha!!!!!!!

What were "you guys" doing at Jones Beach?

For those of you who are saying "Who Is Bob Turoff?"

Bob was a graduate of Port Jefferson High School. He knew Patty Perkins, Richard Williams, and I, because we all went to PJHS. He reads our Blog because he knows many of our fellow alumni, including John Cassese, who he met through me. We were and still are "Great Pals." Bob frequented many of the locations that were also frequented by Sachem Alumni! If I was there, Bob was there! If you saw his photo you just might recognize him! Anyway, he has always been part of our crowd!

"Ah Bo Bee" - This is our own personal greeting, that we have been using for over 50 years; to this day I still do not have a clue as to what it means! Great Fun!

Precious Friends and Precious Memories

Just wanted you to know , Pauline and I had a great time.She was only able to stay one day. Her niece lives in Shirley and Pauline was going to visit her on Saturday.

We looked through my old album , with photos from a trip to Jones Beach and The Patchogue Roller rink...We sure had a good laugh. I had old matchbook covers, paper napkins, stirrers, a corsage,(from the Senior Prom),greeting cards(from boyfriends)and some other memorabilia. I still save everything! The clothes and the hair styles made us chuckle. Also went through the photos of the class reunions I had sent to you for the Blog. We talked about the "Old Days" and those special guys that stole our hearts. Also those trips to the Hamptons in her little sports car and My 1959 Corvette, Our trip to Patchogue on Saturdays and our ferry ride to Fire Island on Sundays.

So great to have those special memories to share with someone I have known for 50 years! Where did the time go? We may have the old bodies now, but those memories we cherish brought us back to our teenage years.

I'm hoping to get together again with her, before she leaves for Florida.
