A Few Words From George La Corte

Life has been good since graduation, some bumps and curves along the way, but today I find myself in sunny Florida working at Kennedy Space Center for the last 21 years. I will stay here at work because I enjoy it and will try to find time to retire someday.
Jill and I have been married for 42 years; have 3 married Sons, with 7 grandchildren.
We look forward to the class reunions these last few years that we have been able to attend in Florida and Arizona. Missed out on the cruise last year because I was owner/builder on our new home and could not find the time to join them. Hopefully next year in upstate NY, we may meet you all there.
Like most of you, we have moved around and selected new email accounts and if you want, email me at [geomims@yahoo.com]
Looking at some of these pictures that you have sent to Ben to be posted on these pages, has rekindled memories of each of you.
If you ever plan on a vacation and decide to go to KSC to take the tour, email me and let me know. Maybe we can meet for dinner after your tour the center? One question to all of you; why can I pick out all those beautiful women in these pictures, but only recognize some you “Older Guys”?

Marian Stuart Eskijian

Marian Stuart, may very well have been the most active person in our entire school! Marian belonged to, and participated in so many school activities, that it is a miracle that she had the time to do anything else!

It is apparent that our fellow Alumni, Marian is just as active as ever!

Dear Ben, --------------- Thanks for sending this "blog" out to us. It was a great "blast from the past"!! My husband and I travel a lot, but Long Island is seldom on our itinerary anymore. Tomorrow we are flying to California to visit some of Greg's family. My Mom died in 1986 and Dad passed away here in Jefferson City in 1996. My brother Earl and his wife live in Ft. Lauderdale, Florida. We visit them is February and usually do a Caribbean cruise with them while we are there. I have two children and three grandchildren. As you say, they are my "life" now. Many thanks for all the information. Please keep in touch and I will come when I can. Marian (Stuart) E.

Class of 1959 Senior Banquet

Scotch Mist Inn, Southampton. (Double-Click on The Photo)
We had a great time. I can still see the Antique Metal Body Armor, and Swords that were on display. The Main lobby was decorated in stone reminiscent of a castle. Frequented by the rich and famous, the Scotch Mist Inn, was my first glimpse into the way the "Society Crowd," lived! To this day I could still recall the "energy," that made our evening, so very special!

If you double click on the photo, you will see a picture of one of the lovely bedrooms that were also part of the Scotch Mist Inn; To the best of my knowledge, not one room was used, which is a testimony to our up-bringing! What would happen today?

LLoyd Roberts Quintet Reunion, Scheduled For June 10, 2006

The LLoyd Roberts Quintet will be giving a "Reunion Performance," on June, 10, 2006, at the Flaming Hearth, in Farmingville. Our friend and fellow alumni John Cassese played with the LLoyd Roberts Quintet, for many years, at the "Country Tavern," now called the "Flaming Hearth. Recently Bob Greenwald, a missing band member, contacted John. As you may recall Bob Greenwald is just about the best Sax Player, on the planet. Most everyone from near and far, frequented the "Country Tavern," and religiously enjoyed listening to the greatest band "that ever was."!

For lack of better words, I must describe the "Scene, " at the Country Tavern, as more than just a band playing at a bar! People went to the Country Tavern to bask in an "energy," that could be felt from afar. Most of our fellow alumni from Sachem, enjoyed the total communication between the Band, the music, and the people. One not only heard the music, he also experienced it.

MORE DETAILS TO FOLLOW AS THIS REUNION DEVELOPS!

Thank You Camille Pelliccia
Camille Palliccia spent many hours scanning each of these photos, and sending them to me via email, one at a time. Well here they are for everyone to enjoy!
That is what life is all about, family, and dear friends who shared many wonderful experiences.

Just too many photos to put on the main page! Eventually the main page will be filled with only feature articles, and notices.

Double click on any photo to get a larger view.

Please enter the names of the Alumni that you remember, in the "comments," box, below each section of six Photos.
