Hi,

I have been reading the Sachem High School Alumni Gazette and would like to hear from Class of '63 grads. As I've mentioned to Rich Williams, many of the last names from the first graduating class in 1959 belong to the sisters and brothers of those who graduated in 1963.

I am Deanna Giardina Mauch. Bob and I were married in 1966 and have two daughters and three grandchildren. We lived on Long Island until 1998 when we sold our home in East Moriches and retired to Sarasota, Florida to an area known as Palmer Ranch.

We enjoy the lifestyle here, the natural beauty and wildlife and, of course, the beaches. We walk, bicycle ride and kayak, go to the gym and we often explore Florida on day trips. We have annual passes to several theme parks. We also are fond of visiting NASA at Kennedy Space Center and have witnessed a shuttle launch.

My sister graduated with you in 1959. She is Joan Giardina Mathieu. Joan lives in Colorado Springs. She is mother of a son and daughter and also has three grandchildren.

Lydia Martino Virgilio lives about 45 minutes north of me. She is closer to Tampa.

I retired from Westhampton Beach Schools and Bob retired from Suffolk County Fire Rescue and Emergency Services.

Well we do!!!!!

Our Sachem Banner has traveled from Florida to Phoenix and then to St. Thomas and St John .

Crafted by George and Jill LaCorte (refer to Sept 2007) and presented for all to sign at the 2001 reunion hosted by Pat Prince Rath.

Joan Whitty Stawicki and Joe Singler arranged for its safe passage to Phoenix Arizona for our 2003 reunion.

Arlene and I have been the guardians since 2003. All who participated in our 2005 reunion adventure have also re-added their signatures.

Your Sachem banner has ample space for your name or renewed signatures.
