Wow! Camille is setting up a Computer:

Hi Everyone,

Well, today I will attempt to set up the new computer I received from Billy and Tara. If you don't hear from me, you will know I am either stuck under my computer desk, or entangled in the wires. (send help!)
I tried to type an e mail earlier, and the cable system went down! So maybe its not a good idea to try this today, since I Lost power four times already, before even starting to hook up. So. here goes. Hoping to get on line, without difficulty. you will hear form me in the near future! Keep your fingers crossed!
Love Camille.....(one good thing, I did clear up the many magazines, catalogs, and little pieces of paper I kept some notes on,from the top of my computer desk..)

As I told Judi, my first name is Mary Ann Castiglione Bissett, I graduated in 1960 as did my sister-in-law Gwen Bissett Wilson. My brother-law William Bissett graduated in 1963, I believe that's the correct date. Thanks for the blog!

News From "Way Back Home" in New York
In the not too distant past, many organizations on long Island had the tendency to organize their fundraiser events the quick way! Call the Caterer, and then call the company that provides the "Rides." I must admit, with this level of organizational enthusiasm; I was not motivated to attend many of these events.

Within the past few years, the old, sterile, model that was used to organize "Street Fairs ," has slowly moved into extinction. Many organizations have now learned how to produce "World Class Events!" The "Brookhaven Town Country Fair," held at the Longwood Estate, Sept. 8 - 9, 2007, is one of those events.

This country Fair, actually felt like a "genuine Country Fair." Many organizations participated in this event, but they all had one thing in common. These small groups of people, our neighbors, created a feeling of community, by sharing with everyone, that which is precious to them! It is this spirit, that brings people together, as a community!

There were many historical displays and venues. the American Revolution reenactment, was an actual encampment; our neighbors, were sharing a part of their passion, with everyone. It is this giving of ones self, that nurtures a sense of community. The World War Two, historical display, was very informative! The Auxiliary Police Participated, The emergency group CERT participated, as well as many other civic minded groups.

A group called "Friends of Long Island Wireless History," also participated in this "World Class" Country Fair. It's all about sharing your passion! Historian, Natalie Stiefel, daughter of Historian and Artist, Rosario Aurucci, is an active member of this group. Natalie's father personally restored the Famous Guglielmo Marconi Wireless Radio Shack, using funds provided by the Sons of Italy. Rosario, in conjunction with Mr . Lundquist, from RCA, Mr Carasiti, and many other groups managed to save and restore this historic treasure. Eventually the Rocky Point Historic Society took on the task of maintaining this piece of history. This building now stands at the Frank J. Carasiti School, in Rocky Point.

The whole spirit and sense of community that was present at this Country Fair, was held together, by a Musical Group Called "The Homegrown String Band." This group of talented musicians, from Rocky Point, has shared their personal passion for music at venues across the United States, such as, the National Theatre in Washington, DC., and "Silver Dollar City," in Branson Missouri. This group invigorated the audience by playing genuine "American Music," which included Folk, Country, and Bluegrass music. Everyone smiled and clapped their hands in approval, as this band performed. (Double click the Arrow below to start the video clip.)

Alumna Camille Pelliccia Had a Great Time at the Pine Grove Inn!
Ben Vitale
Members of the Sachem Alumni Group decided to have a spontaneous Mini Reunion, at the Pine Grove Inn. Our fellow alumni John Cassese was scheduled to play, at the "Pine Grove Inn, with the Lloyd Roberts Quintet.

Camille Pelliccia Class of 1960, and my wife Marie had a great time at that Summer Event.
It was a perfect "Cool Night." We were outside, near the Great South Bay, eating dinner, enjoying gourmet desserts, and drinking Margaretas; what could be better than that? The only thing that was missing was Jimmy Buffett! Ha! Ha!

During the course of the evening Andrew Cassese, got on stage, and performed for the group. Andrew then came over to my table, and talked with Camille, Marie, and I for about ten minutes. Camille was looking at Andrew with a puzzled look as if to say; where have I seen him before? Camille then told Andrew "What a talented family you have."Camille loved the Vocal Entertainment, but could not recognize Andrew Cassese! At that time Camille did not know exactly who she had just called "talented."

Often when a person is separated from his normal context, he often becomes a stranger!

Enough of the suspense! We all know Andrew Cassese! All we have to do is see him in his "Normal Context!" The photo below should help!

Andrew Cassese has Delighted Audiences on Stage, Screen, and Television.
The Photo below is from Andrews role in:
"Revenge of the Nerds I"
He later played in:
"Revenge of the Nerds II"
Also acted in the HBO Film called:
"Where or When"

On Broadway he acted in:
The play called "Nine"

He later acted in the:
Broadway Play called "Smile

Andrew acted in the Off Broadway Plays called:
"Christopher Blake"
"The Day Baby Ruth Died"
"Yossel and the Golden Dream"
"Oliver"
and:
"A Christmas Carol"
On TV he acted on the following TV Programs:
"Law and Order" shown on NBC
"TV-101"
"Read Between the Lines" Shown on ABC
"Sesamie Street"
"Facts of Life" Shown on NBC
"3-2-1-Contact"
Need I Say More?
You see him almost daily on TV Commercials!
Andrew will be appearing on the David Letterman Show, in a skit about "Security in the Office."

Andrew Cassese is enthusiastic about his tentative return to Broadway!
If and when this happens, our next Reunion should be in Manhattan!

Ken and Louise Dance-up a Storm at the Pine Grove!
Alumna Ken Muzzenigro, and his friend Louise are hard to keep down. I was really amazed when I saw Ken and Louise dancing. They looked like professional dancers. Ken is really active with our Alumni Group; he actually attended all of our Reunions, which took place across the country!

John Cassese Sachem class of 1960 Playing with members of the Lloyd Roberts Quintet.
This event was not LRQ Reunion 2007; this event may still come to pass? The evening excitement was further energized by the vocal appearance of Phillip Cassese, John's older son who is also active in the Entertainment Industry. More details to follow.

Soundtrack of the Song, Sweet Caroline.
The lighting was too dim to take a video, with the camera that I had with me! I then decided to record a Soundtrack. It was just one of those magic moments! You really don't need a video in order to feel the energy! The room was full of people, and the band played "Sweet Caroline." If you listen carefully you could hear the audience singing,

"Sweet Caroline," Bum Bum Bum;" and then "So Good, So Good, So Good." Everyone had a great time! The high pitched voice that stands out is either Camille, or my wife Marie!
