From George LaCorte:

I am not sure who would omit to knowing what street ran along side of the R.R. Tracks in Lake Ronkonkoma, and of course no one ever "Dragged Raced" down that street. The reason being was that there were hardly any cross streets, But what do I know?

Come on, there were a few of you that knew this! "I bet the Suffolk Saints knew it."

I had a 49 Chevy; zero to 55 MPH in 10 minutes!I wish someone would have asked me to drag race; it would have built up my ego! Ha! Ha!

To the left of the steam engine was a huge engine turnaround and repair shop. The trains would end in Ronkonkoma and turn around to return to Jamaica.

The RR Ave folks are correct...My dad used to work in N.Y and park his car in the parking lot...and from time to time I used to "borrow" it for a little drive and then return it. Tony Bonicioli, Orlando Fl.
